Methods
No place is the same, times change, and people have different socio-cultural needs. That’s why we always deliver tailored solutions. To achieve successful, sustainable, and financially viable socio-cultural programming, we apply the following 5 P's.- Place: We conduct an environmental analysis of the specific location.
- People: The environmental analysis includes the socio-economic characteristics and the strengths and weaknesses of a community. We also map out current and future residents, key stakeholders, and users, while defining the target groups for the project.
- Participation: We actively seek local stakeholders and (financial) partners, involving municipal authorities where necessary.
- Programming: We ensure programming that creates social impact and evolves alongside the area.
- Permanency: We strive for the permanent socio-cultural use of buildings and areas to continuously create space for culture.

History
Get Lost was founded in 2014 by Cecile Wentges as an art route on the Zuidas of Amsterdam. Commissioned by businesses, and in collaboration with the municipality of Amsterdam, artists created art in public spaces. In the years that followed Cecile developed different cultural initiatives in Cape Town, Amsterdam Zuidoost, and within the redevelopment of the Slotervaartziekenhuis in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. These experiences laid the foundation for what is now Get Lost Cultural Agency.
